Meet the PharPoint Team: Taylore S., Senior Project Team Associate, Clinical

Meet Taylore S., a Senior Project Team Associate (Sr. PTA) at PharPoint Research.

In her role as Sr. PTA, Taylore manages multiple clinical systems and ensures essential documents are maintained while collaborating with sponsors to keep operations running smoothly.

She embraces the variety in her work. “Every day looks different,” she explained, “and that keeps things interesting.”

Taylore’s career began in pharmacy and nursing, where she spent nearly a decade in pediatrics before transitioning into clinical research for a better work-life balance. After working as a clinical research coordinator focused within cardiology, she brought her site-level insights to the CRO side of research, finding a home at PharPoint.

Since joining PharPoint, Taylore has expanded her areas of expertise to include the support of complex oncology studies and a deep understanding of study startup processes.

“I could write a book on study startup,” she joked, emphasizing how nuanced and ever-evolving it is.

Taylore’s strong appreciation of teamwork – an important quality to have in clinical research – is evident. She spoke about how much she enjoys her interactions with study teammates and how she relies on the insights of colleagues across functional groups. “I count on their knowledge, experience, input, and values,” she explained. “They make my job better.”

In addition to enjoying working with diverse cross-functional teams, Taylore finds purpose in her role in helping sponsors advancing treatment options for patients.

She spoke about how one of the most rewarding parts of her role is knowing that she’s supporting clients who are providing hope and new options to patients who may have exhausted all others.

As a mother of two, Taylore values flexibility in her workday, starting early to balance family responsibilities. She’s recently added lunchtime walks to her routine, helping her reset and stay focused.

Outside of work, she loves baking, cooking, and singing, with country singer Reba McEntire as one of her favorite artists. She shared the experience of meeting Reba backstage at one of her shows: “I asked her what her favorite song to perform was,” Taylore recalled. “It just so happens that her favorite – Fancy – is one of mine, too. She always closes her concerts with it.”

On the job, Taylore has learned that time management and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced research environment. She also highlights the importance of adaptability, especially when collaborating with clients around multiple time zones.

Her advice for those beginning their careers within clinical research? Never turn down an opportunity to grow.

“I don’t think I’ve ever said no when asked if I could help,” Taylore shares – a mindset that has shaped her career and can open doors for anyone willing to take on new challenges.
