Volunteer Time Off Program 2022

Volunteer Time Off Program 2022

In 2022, PharPoint announced a new Volunteer Time Off Program (VTO) for our employees in alignment with our vision to improve global health.

We’re grateful to have teammates who are dedicated not only to helping clients bring forth innovative and life-changing new therapies but who are passionate about giving back to their own communities.

Explore some of the ways the PharPoint team has recently volunteered in their community.

Lisa F. and Carli T. with Loaves & Fishes Ministry (Raleigh, NC)

The organization:

Loaves & Fishes’ mission is to empower under-resourced K-12 youth for life opportunities. For the holiday season, the group puts together the Pride for Parents Christmas Store. Pride for Parents allows families to shop for their gift selections at deeply discounted prices.

The opportunity:

Pride for Parents volunteers helps families find and shop their gift selections and wrap their goods.

“It was a great experience and organization.  We were able to help people shop and find items that were on their list and also wrap up the goods – I think we wrapped at least 20 items.  It really got me in the Christmas spirit!” – Lisa F.

Cameron B. with Samaritans Purse Processing Center for Operation Christmas Child (Charlotte, NC)

The organization:

Operation Christmas Child collects shoeboxes— filled with school supplies, toys, and hygiene items— packed by individuals and groups across the nation. Processing Center teams prepare these shoebox gifts for international shipment to church partners, who distribute these gifts to children during local community events.

The opportunity:

Volunteers form teams responsible for inspecting gifts, working with filler items, scanning labels, organizing shoeboxes in designated cartons, and heavy lifting.

Tyler Y. and Chris W. with The Produce Project (Raleigh, NC)

The organization:

The Produce Project is a nonprofit organization that provides large shares of produce to members of the community for $18. Produce not purchased is distributed to those in need.

The opportunity:

Volunteers sort produce, assemble boxes, clean, unload and pack up the delivery trucks.
