Supporting our Local NC Communities: PharPoint Gives Back 2021

Each year the PharPoint team arranges an end-of-year giving back campaign. This year, we’re thrilled to have raised over $1,300 for the Interfaith Food Shuttle in a virtual food drive. We’re delighted to have surpassed the goal we set for this year.

We’re incredibly grateful for our team here at PharPoint, who are not only great at what they do, but passionate about improving global health and supporting local communities.

Past PharPoint Gives Back Campaigns

Our annual PharPoint Gives Back campaign has come in a few formats over the past few years – we’ve had rotating monthly charities, built bikes, brought in gifts for Toys for Tots, and supported Meals on Wheels.

Last year, our teams donated 500+ pounds of food in a drive-thru food drive in support of two local North Carolina food pantries (Mother Hubbard’s in Wilmington, NC and Interfaith Food Shuttle in Durham, NC).

About Interfaith Food Shuttle

Interfaith Food Shuttle is a nonpartisan, 501c3 non-profit organization and member of the Feeding America National Network of Food Banks. In addition to recovering and distributing food to low-income neighbors, the Food Shuttle provides programs to empower people with skills to meet their own food needs through culinary job training, beginner gardening, and cooking healthy on a budget.

North Carolina is the 10th hungriest state in the US. In the seven counties that the Interfaith Food Shuttle serves (including Wake, Durham, Johnston, Orange, Chatham, Nash, and Edgecombe), more than 220,000 people are food insecure.
